Streetscape Construction in Progress

 2021 North Cedar Streetscape Project and other various Downtown Improvements are underway!

 Work This Past Week                                                                      October 22, 2021

 Within the 300 Block

    • The concrete was poured for the remaining sidewalk along the east side of the street.
    • The concrete curb and gutter was placed.
    • The roadway base is being prepared for the Pearl Street intersection pavement.
  • Within the 200 Block
    • Water service connection to buildings has occurred through most of the block.
    • The storm sewer has been installed on the north half of the block.
    • Additional removals are occurring at the Vine Street intersection.

Upcoming Work

  • Within the 300 Block
    • Mainline pavement is anticipated to occur next week.
      • The new concrete typically takes between 7 and 14 days before it can be driven on. Please use extra caution while paving is occurring, and do not enter the area until the road is open to traffic.
      • The contractor is planning to construct the concrete curb and gutter within the Pearl Street intersection next week.
  • Within the 200 Block
    • Installation of the sanitary sewer manhole within the Vine Street intersection is anticipated on Monday.
      • This will require use of the bypass pump at Broadway Street and will cause traffic changes within the 100 block for approximately one day. The contractor will be coordinating with these businesses. 
    • The contractor plans to connect the watermain to the mainline within Vine Street.

The storm sewer installation on the south half of the block is anticipated to follow.
