9/03/2021 - ISG Update:
Work This Past Week
- The asbestos steam line within the Pearl Street intersection was safely removed to allow continued utility installation.
- The sanitary sewer was stubbed out and connected to the existing main along Pearl Street outside of the intersection.
- The concrete boulevard along Rose Street was constructed.
- Removal and replacement of the pavement has been occurring within the alley next to 107 W. Rose Street. The concrete is currently curing, therefore similarly to previous concrete pavement, the alley will be opened back to traffic once it reaches an
adequate strength.
Upcoming Work
- Beginning Tuesday next week, an additional crew will be onsite to allow additional work to be completed.
- This is now possible because the contractor has progressed through the corridor enough and installed the deep utilities within the 300 block to create the space necessary for the additional crew.
- Installation of the storm sewer and watermain connections to the mains along Pearl Street are planned.
- Water service installation will continue along the 300 block.
- Some building access may be necessary to confirm services and communication with businesses will continue to occur as required.
Additional removals within the 200 block are anticipated in approximately one and a half weeks.
