During the November 7th City Council Meeting, there will be two public hearings for comments on the Proposed Assessments for the 2022 Street and Utility Project and the 2023 Havana Road Project. The meeting will be at the Charles S. Crandall Center Chambers, 530 West Hills Circle.

City Council has provided that anyone person who is 65 years of age or older, or who is retired by virtue of permanent and total disability, owning and occupying a homestead, may ask for and receive deferment of a special assessment against that homestead if that person meets the criteria established by the Council on April 2, 2012{below the Very Low Income Limits determined for Steele County by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)}.
The form for requesting this deferment is shown below and also available at the office of the City Clerk at City Hall, 540 West Hills Circle. The option to defer an assessment is available for 30 days following adoption of the assessment.
