Dalland and Staska Started May 23, 2022
Owatonna Fire Department hired two Fire Equipment Operators, Broderrick (Brody) Dalland and Benjamin (Ben) Staska, to fill vacancies caused by recent retirements.
Brody began his career with the fire department as a paid-on-call firefighter on September 22, 2014. He spent several years living at the fire station as a resident firefighter before returning to the paid-on-call ranks in 2019. Brody was honored as Firefighter of the Year in October 2021 at a banquet hosted by the Owatonna Exchange Club.
Ben Staska joined the fire department from East Grand Forks Fire Department, where he was a full-time firefighter for the las one and one-half. Ben is not new to the Owatonna Fire Department though; in 2020, he spent time as a resident firefighter before accepting the full-time position with East Grand Forks FD.
Owatonna Fire is excited to have Brody and Ben on their full-time roster and look forward to their contributions as fire equipment operators.
