October 4-8, 2021
Work This Past Week
- Within the 300 Block
- Planter foundations were filled with suitable soil.
- Sidewalk base was placed and compacted.
- Gravel ramps were placed at business entrances to maintain access prior to paving.
- Concrete forms for sidewalk have been set.
- Utility handholes were placed to accommodate future electrical service.
- Within the 200 Block
- A majority of the sanitary main line and services were installed. One service is remaining but will be performed when work on Vine Street takes place.
- Gas and small utility adjustments were made.
- Segments of deep storm sewer were placed to allow for watermain construction.
Upcoming Work
- Within the 300 Block
- Sidewalk paving is anticipated to occur early next week.
- The contractor will be coordinating with businesses during this time.
- The road subgrade will be prepped, and the subbase and base will be hauled in and placed in preparation for concrete curb and roadway paving.
- Following concrete sidewalk paving, the curb and gutter, and mainline pavement will be poured over the next few weeks.
- Within the 200 Block
- Watermain and service installation.
- Storm sewer installation.
