A Public Hearing is planned for Wednesday, November 5th during the City Council Meeting to consider the proposed assessments for the 2024 Street and Utility Project. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers in the Charles S. Crandall Center at City Hall.
The 2024 Street and Utility Project. This project completed during 2025 involved various levels of needed reconstruction work on the following streets:
McKinley Street SW
Anderson Place
Butternut Avenue
Sumac Avenue
Declared costs of improvement of the 2025 Street & Utility Project were $1,512,769.24 of which $90,516.40 is proposed to be specially assessed. Twenty-eight (28) parcels received Proposed Assessment Notices. The proposed assessments are on file for public inspection at the office of the City Clerk. Written or oral objections will be considered at this hearing.
