Review and comment on the 2025 Stormwater Pollution Prevention Program
Community members can review and comment on the city's Stormwater Pollution Prevention Program (SWPPP) year-round.
The goal of the program is to reduce the discharge of pollutants from the city's storm sewer system to the maximum extent practicable. The program covers public education, outreach and participation, a plan to detect and eliminate illicit discharges to the storm sewer system, construction-site and post-construction runoff controls, and pollution prevention.
A great way to view and comment on the program is to attend the EnviroShow at the Owatonna Four Seasons Centre (1525 S Elm Ave) on May 10 from 9 am to 5 pm, stop by our booth in the Outdoor Center at the Steele County Free Fair in August or complete the Feedback Form found on our website at any time. All feedback forms received between April 23 and August 18 will be entered into a drawing for a free rain barrel.
The City of Owatonna greatly appreciates the feedback received as it helps shape our Clean H2Owatonna efforts!
