The City of Owatonna website has completed a major redesign that changes the look and feel of the site and adds functionality upgrades for residents, tourists, and city staff. The improved navigation offers additional options for frequently visited pages from the homepage and the fresh design aligns with the community-wide brand that was adopted last year. The launch of the site was June 20.
The redesigned website has updated features to support functionality. Some of the key features are:
- Menu: Utilize the top menu bar to find information related to City functions.
- Search: Search keywords to access information found on webpages and meeting documents.
- Quick Links: There are 12 buttons beneath the cover photo linking to frequently visited pages on the site. Click the arrows on the right or left side to scroll through the options.
- News & Events: Quickly find information on important topics and upcoming events. Sign up for notifications to receive email or text alerts when information is posted to these areas.
- Popular Links: The area below News & Events is used for links to popular and seasonally relevant pages. Updates will be made based on analytics, feedback, and seasonably appropriate content.
- Footer: Access the City of Owatonna’s social media sites, sign up for notifications, and find contact information on the main page footer. As you visit other pages, you will also be able to utilize the Quick Links that were previously mentioned.
The City of Owatonna’s website provides convenient, online access to a variety of services including online permitting, reporting concerns, registering for recreational programs, interactive financial documents and more. Visit owatonna.gov to view the updated site.
