Retail Fireworks License

Owatonna Fire Department issues licenses for the retail sale of consumer fireworks. Licenses may be issued throughout the year but expire December 31 of the year in which they were issued. All applications are reviewed by the fire chief and submitted to the city council for approval.

License Fees

• Retail seller in the business of any selling consumer goods - $100
• Retail seller in the business of selling ONLY permitted consumer fireworks - $350
