West Hills Pool Closure

OWATONNA, Minn., Feb. 26, 2026 – The City of Owatonna Parks and Recreation Department announces that the West Hills Pool is closed until further notice.

The closure is due to HVAC repairs and additional necessary pool maintenance. The City is actively working through the permitting process to bring the facility into full compliance with current regulations. Out of an abundance of caution and in alignment with safety standards, the pool will remain closed while the work is completed.

Coordinating with appropriate agencies, City staff will move the process forward as efficiently as possible. Updates regarding reopening timelines will be shared with the public as more information becomes available.

We understand the impact this closure has on community members and program participants and appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to safely restore operations. The Parks and Recreation Department will follow up with Swimming Lessons and Water Aerobics participants to notify them of the closure.
