NIGHT TO UNITE SUCCESS
August 5th was recognized in Owatonna as Night to Unite, which is a statewide crime prevention program. There were 32 neighborhood block parties with various activities and events that brought neighbors together to enjoy potluck meals, games and more. Police and Fire Department staff, City Council, Mayor, and City Administrator visited block parties to interact with attendees, explain programs the City offers and demonstrate public safety equipment, Owatonna police officers collected school supplies and donations that will be given to the Children’s Remedial Fund of Steele County for underprivileged kids. Thanks to the community for making this event a great success. A big Thank You to everyone who hosted these amazing block parties and everyone that participated in Night to Unite block parties as well as all donations that will be given to the Children’s Remedial Fund. Owatonna Police Officers has a great time visiting with the community.
