IMPACTING DONATION

The Owatonna Police Department has partnered with Owatonna Motors on squad car purchases for many years.  During a conversation recently, they offered to purchase new license plates for the entire fleet of Owatonna squad cars with MN 100 Club plates.  Thank you to Owatonna Motors for your donation and the support to the 100 Club mission.

What is the MN 100 Club? Minnesota 100 Club | Protecting the Protectors

Their mission at the Minnesota 100 Club is to provide financial assistance to the families of peace officers, firefighters, correctional officers, and EMS who live and serve in Minnesota and who are seriously injured or killed in the line of duty while protecting our lives and property.

Their goal is to provide a bridge of financial assistance at a moment’s notice once a tragedy has happened.  As a 501(c) (3), we respond quickly with financial support to immediate families of our First Responders who are either tragically injured or killed in the line of duty. The funds we provide help lessen the effects of the financial impact of a tragedy.

Donations to the Minnesota 100 Club come from private individuals or organizations. Yearly sponsorships start at a $100 donation. During the Club’s more than 50 years of existence, we have paid in benefits to hundreds of families of First Responders who have died or been seriously injured while protecting our safety.

Other ways to help include participating in our special events by attending, sponsoring, or donating items for the auctions. An easy way to participate in supporting First Responders is by buying the specialty license plate.

We count on our supporters to help us give back to those who serve us. Donate to MN 100 Club

QUICK $50 PROGRAM

Each year the city spends thousands of dollars cleaning up graffiti and repairing vandalism in the parks. Residents can reduce vandalism through citizen involvement in a confidential reward for information program called Project Reward and Quick $50.

If you have information about vandalism to public property in Owatonna, please contact any member at the Owatonna Police Department to report your information and mention Quick $50. The Quick $50 program rewards citizens for providing legitimate and substantiated information about individuals responsible for vandalism, graffiti or other related crimes.

The Project Reward program may provide larger rewards (up to $500) for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for damage to public property.

These programs are funded through private donations. Administrative costs are paid through the City’s operating budget. To make a tax-deductible donation, please send a check addressed to Project Reward – City of Owatonna and mail it to Finance Director, City of Owatonna, 540 West Hills Circle, Owatonna, MN 55060.

To report a crime of vandalism to public property or to provide confidential information regarding a crime, please contact the Owatonna Police Department at 507.774.7200.
