Lake Kohlmier Reopening

OWATONNA, Minn., July 7, 2025 – Lake Kohlmier is reopening based on bacteria test results received today that are within the normal range for swimming and other recreational activities.

Lake Kohlmier water samples are tested weekly to ensure water quality levels meet Minnesota Department of Health guidelines. Levels may fluctuate based on environmental factors including rain, wind, temperatures, time of day, number of visitors, wildlife, stormwater runoff, surrounding vegetation and beach characteristics.
