RINGING FOR A CAUSE

Join us November 27th at Hy Vee from 4-6pm! The Police and Fire Department staff will be ringing bells to kick off the red kettle season for the Salvation Army. This is a friendly competition amongst city departments that brings in a generous amount of money for this cause every year.

PLEASE REPORT VANDALISM

If you witness damage being done to any of our great city parks, don't hesitate to call and report this activity to the police.  Our city parks and recreation staff spends a lot of time keeping these parks up and we have seen an increase in damage particularly at the Lake Kohlmeier parking lot.  We have increased patrol efforts to catch suspect(s) pulling into grass areas off of the main parking lot and damaging the landscaping by doing burnouts.  The parks and recreation department has had to place large boulders to try and prevent this activity, but it still continues.  Along with the burnouts, garbage is being left to lay in the parking lot as well.

Again, if you see this activity, take a picture, video or at least write down the license plate number and we can address it with the violator(s) to keep our public places nice for all to enjoy.
