Park Passport Program – September 23 thru October 22
This program by Owatonna Parks and Recreation aims to promote healthy lifestyle choices among families and individuals. It encourages them to explore the parks and trails and stay fit by walking on the mapped trails. The program is free and lasts for four weeks.
You can enjoy your time in the parks by getting a Passport that covers Mineral Springs Park, Leo Rudolph Nature Reserve, Dartts Park, Buxton Trail, North Straight River Parkway, Kaplan's Woods Trail, 18th Street Trail, Manthey Park, Muckle Trail and Kaplan's Woods Parkway.
You need to find the hidden password in each park to increase your chances of winning. Keep an eye out for small signs with words mounted along the trail. Each word you find counts as an additional opportunity to win, even for partially completed passports.
We want to express our special thanks to the Mayo Clinic Health System for supporting this program.
