Construction has begun and various projects can be seen around The City of Owatonna. Please slow down and use caution when approaching a construction zone.

We thank you for your patience as these projects are completed.

 2021 Bridge Street:

Work this Past Week

Work this week included concrete mainline and roundabout paving, trimming and setting forms. The new concrete typically takes between 7 and 14 days

before it can be driven on so please use extra caution while paving is occurring, follow detours and do not enter the area until the road is open to traffic.

Next week work is planned to include continued concrete paving including curb and gutter as well as driveway paving. Temporary lighting and seeding is to be

placed over the next couple weeks as well. The paving is expected to continue for about 1.5 weeks to pave the remainder of Phase 1A and Phase 2, including the

curb and gutter and sidewalk. Following this, the concrete typically takes between 7 and 14 days before it can be driven on so please use extra caution

while paving is occurring and do not enter the area until the road is open to traffic.

The intersection of Park Drive and W. Bridge street is open to three directions of traffic, with the north, east and south legs open to both directions of traffic

and the west leg closed to traffic during this phase of the project. Some work will continue to occur along the roadway and at the Park Dr intersection as needed.

Please continue to use caution and follow the detour routes as work will continue to finalize Phase 1 and progress Phase 2.

This project is phased and is anticipated to generally follow the phasing plan as shown in the image below. Currently, the contractor is performing work within a

portion of “Construction Phase 1A” and “Construction Phase 2” areas as outlined in pink and green, respectively.

Please feel welcome to contact Reese Sudtelgte or Anthony Lance of ISG with any questions regarding the project or any other items of concern.
